We are currently looking for an operational buyer for a position within the energy sector. This role is ideal for you who have experience in operational purchasing, thrive in close proximity to operations, and wish to work broadly with procurement, supplier dialogue, and the improvement of procurement processes.

About the Role

You will be based on-site and serve as the operational procurement contact for the business. The role involves close collaboration with internal requesters, procurement functions, and suppliers to ensure efficient purchasing, robust delivery follow-up, and compliance with internal guidelines and processes.

You will play a key role in supporting daily procurement activities, executing purchases within your mandate, and contributing to the development of working methods and processes within the purchase-to-pay (P2P) cycle.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the operational contact person for procurement matters on-site
  • Support the business in daily procurement activities
  • Ensure that purchases are conducted according to current guidelines and processes
  • Responsible for executing purchases up to a specified monetary limit and ensuring the best possible commercial terms
  • Conduct negotiations with suppliers within the scope of operational procurement responsibilities
  • Monitor order acknowledgments and follow up on deliveries
  • Handle complaints, warranty cases, and disputes in collaboration with other procurement functions
  • Support the review of supplier invoices against contracts and orders
  • Participate in the follow-up and evaluation of supplier performance
  • Contribute to the development of the P2P process and operational procurement work
  • Relieve project buyers by handling simpler project-related purchases
  • Participate in the implementation of new contracts
  • Take part in training, system testing, and the introduction of changes in business systems

Requirements

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Relevant education in procurement, logistics, or a similar field, or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in operational purchasing
  • Experience working in procurement and business systems
  • Good knowledge of procurement processes as well as relevant legislation and standards in the field
  • Experience in supplier contacts and negotiations
  • Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with various stakeholders
  • Fluency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
